Job Summary
Partner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies that support organizational objectives and resource optimization. Conduct workforce analysis and planning to address gaps and design structures for transformation, while coaching and mentoring client groups to drive change. Act as the primary HR contact for corporate projects, analyzing trends and metrics to identify solutions that align with business needs. Maintain strong partnerships based on trust to influence outcomes through feedback and coaching. This role requires local travel and a valid driver's license, offering a comprehensive health benefits package, pension plan, and flexible work arrangements for eligible positions.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a related area of study
- Minimum 5 years of progressively senior human resources experience in a variety of HR disciplines
- Valid driver's licence
- Access to a personal vehicle
- Ability to build positive working relationships and provide customer service with a strategic focus
- Strong knowledge of best practice employment practices and human resources legislation
- Proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical ability
- Demonstrated ability to influence, lead, and motivate others through mentoring and coaching activities and by engaging others in decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple urgent tasks and deadlines
- Strong business acumen and growth-mindset
- Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, written, and training/presentation skills
- Must be willing and able to travel locally
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of the Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation, or commitment to obtain the designation
- Experience in a unionized environment
