Job Summary
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as the senior HR and labour relations professional for a client portfolio, operating with a high degree of independence to manage a full suite of HR activities across Carewest and with external stakeholders. The role focuses on employment and labour relations, providing strategic recommendations and advisory support to site and corporate leadership, and handling non-standard matters requiring interpretation beyond policy. The HRBP collaborates with the broader HR portfolio to ensure consistent application of HR processes, supports collective bargaining activities, and engages in advisory work on performance management, investigation processes, dispute resolution, and compliance with policies, legislation, and jurisprudence. The incumbent represents Carewest in grievance arbitration, litigation, and quasi-judicial forums, and contributes to reporting, trend monitoring, and cross-team projects, while facilitating continuous improvement and stakeholder relations in a multi-union, multi-site environment.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in related field required.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Professional designation (CPHR, CIPD) preferred.
- Equivalences in education & experience reasonably considered.
- This is a vehicle-required position.
- A valid unrestricted driver’s license is required to be maintained, along with access to a reliable vehicle.
