HR Apprentice

Job Summary
Support accurate maintenance of employee records, people data, and HR systems while preparing routine communications and processing employee changes. Coordinate recruitment activities including advertising, interviews, and onboarding documentation, and assist with leaver administration and benefits queries. Act as a first point of contact for people and HR queries, signposting staff to appropriate guidance and supporting managers with standard processes. Prepare regular HR reports, maintain trackers, and contribute to process improvements and people initiatives under the guidance of the HR team. Complete required apprenticeship learning, assignments, and assessments while developing knowledge of employment legislation and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- A genuine interest in developing a career in people and HR and completing an HR apprenticeship
- Strong attention to detail with good organisational and time-management skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to work with people at different levels
- A professional, discreet and trustworthy approach when handling confidential information
- Good people skills and a helpful, collaborative working style
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and ask for support when required
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams or willingness to develop these skills
- A proactive approach to learning, problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks while contributing positively as part of a team

- Hybrid working arrangement (3 days on-site)
- Full-time employment (35 hours per week)
