Job Summary
Provide first-line HR support across the organisation and implement HR policies. Lead on recruitment, onboarding, absence management, training compliance, and GDPR data accuracy. Manage employee relations through investigations and hearings; champion staff wellbeing and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) initiatives; contribute to strategic People and Wellbeing initiatives. Requires minimum 2 years’ HR Advisor experience, CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent), strong employment-law knowledge, and proficiency with HR systems (e.g., PeopleHR). DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are part of the role, with emphasis on safeguarding and working within a charity context to support staff and young disabled people through the arts. This role fosters a collaborative, inclusive culture and offers professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience at HR Advisor level
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, IT and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Experience with HR systems (e.g., PeopleHR) and knowledge of the charity sector, safeguarding, EDI, and CQC/Ofsted regulations are desirable
