Job Summary
Serve as the DFCH HR liaison for assigned programs, assisting Deputy Directors with payroll, personnel, and operational technical issues. Maintain Program Organizational Charts, conduct periodic site visits, and co-facilitate HR meetings while providing training on performance evaluations and the Employee Self Service Portal. Coordinate employee position responsibilities and performance expectations, manage leave requests via the centralized platform, and analyze program vacancies using Tableau. Participate in interview panels, facilitate program meetings for vacancy updates, and attend quarterly hiring manager meetings. This role supports the Division of Family and Child Health within the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, requiring a baccalaureate degree and 18 months of supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
- An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent
- Four years of satisfactory, full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience requiring independent decision-making concerning program management or planning, allocation for resources and the scheduling and assignment of work
- 18 months of experience in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity
- Supervisory work in the supervision of staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty
- Six years of satisfactory, full-time progressively responsible experience as described in the experience requirements
- Education and/or experience equivalent to the specified levels
- Possession of the 18 months of administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory experience as described in the experience requirements
- 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3 1/2 years
