Job Summary

Provide HR advice and support to line managers, business partners, and employees on health and wellbeing issues. Review, draft, and produce HR-related documents including policies, sickness management, stress management, and occupational health procedures to ensure they remain fit for purpose. Oversee and manage the progression of occupational health cases, including procedures, processes, guidance, and training delivery. This temporary role requires a full current driving licence and significant travel to centre of duty locations and clinics in Wiltshire. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent advisor-level experience. Interviews are scheduled for September 2026 with a closing date of August 2026.

Required Qualifications

  • Post specific qualification at Level 3 or equivalent, or able to demonstrate a significant level of HR experience at an Advisor level
  • Experience of best practice guidelines and employment legislation requirements to minimise organisational risk
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate a positive attitude to internal/external customer care
  • Full current driving licence
  • Ability to fulfil the significant travel requirements of the role
  • Use of own vehicle capability (Service vehicle may be available)
  • Standard Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS) clearance
  • Satisfactory identity checks
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Satisfactory medical
  • Satisfactory references
  • Verification of employment history
  • Explanation of any gaps in employment in the last 3 years
  • Satisfactory evidence in application to demonstrate areas measured at the Application Stage on the Person Specification

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to work flexibly (work from home / DWFRS Stations / Support Offices)
  • Experience with occupational health cases, procedures, processes, guidance (manuals) and delivering training
  • Experience reviewing, drafting and producing HR related documents (e.g. policies, sickness management, stress management, routine medicals, occupational health, fitness)
