Job Summary
HR Advisor role in London (Hybrid) with British Asian Trust. Supports HR operations across the UK, Pakistan, and Bangladesh from the London office. Responsibilities include end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, drafting job descriptions, conducting interviews, Right to Work checks, payroll enrolment, new hire orientation, HR systems maintenance, data audits, employee relations support, performance management assistance, and change/OD initiatives. Requires HR generalist experience, strong employment-law understanding, recruitment tooling (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter), and proficient MS Office skills. Emphasis on process improvement, confidentiality, and collaboration across geographies. Salary £35,000-£40,000, hybrid in London.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant and appropriate experience in a HR generalist role
- Excellent understanding of employment law and its impact on the employee lifecycle
- Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills including MS Office and strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience using recruitment tools (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workload
- Able to work across multiple functions, disciplines and geographies and possess strong collaboration and communication skills
- Work calmly under pressure, with confidentiality and discretion
- Able to work autonomously and make timely and considered decisions, but knows when to escalate
