Job Summary
Manage a caseload of performance matters, including underperformance and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), while drafting and quality-checking documentation from outcome letters to formal warnings. Coach People Leaders on best-practice performance conversations and use case insights to spot trends and recommend proactive interventions. Ensure performance practices remain fair, consistent, and compliant with local legislation across New Zealand and Australia. This 6-month fixed term role sits within the global HR Advisory team, combining in-office collaboration with flexible hybrid work. You will partner with HR Business Partners and People Leaders to support sensitive, confidential situations.
Required Qualifications
- hands-on experience managing performance and disciplinary cases, including drafting PIPs and formal outcome documentation
- understanding of employment legislation in New Zealand or Australia extends to procedural fairness as it applies to performance management
- coached and trained People Leaders on best-practice performance conversations
- ability to balance legal, commercial and people considerations when recommending practical, proportionate solutions
- ability to work across a fast-paced, matrixed environment while balancing global consistency with local nuance
- discretion and professionalism to manage emotionally complex, confidential situations
- based in Melbourne, Sydney, Wellington, or Auckland
- hybrid model that combines in office collaboration with the flexibility to work from home
