Job Summary
Provide frontline HR support to leaders and employees across operational client groups, managing employee relations matters including absenteeism, conduct, performance, workplace investigations, and policy-related concerns. Coach leaders to apply HR policies and processes consistently while partnering with HR Business Partners and specialist teams to resolve matters and escalate where appropriate. Support recurring people processes such as performance, salary, and talent reviews, and identify opportunities to strengthen HR processes, leader capability, and workplace effectiveness. Work on a 9-day fortnight roster within a safety-driven, high-volume operational environment at Boyne Smelter.
Required Qualifications
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Experience in a generalist HR advisory role, ideally within an operational, industrial, resources, manufacturing or similar environment
- Strong employee relations and case management experience, including the ability to manage matters objectively, sensitively and with sound judgement
- Confidence coaching, influencing and constructively challenging leaders while maintaining trusted stakeholder relationships
- Resilience and adaptability to work across a broad scope of HR matters in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment
- Strong written documentation, confidentiality and case-management discipline, with the ability to navigate HR systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, SAP or similar platforms
