Job Summary
Execute personnel administration activities for new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations, including HRIS entries and school onboarding/offboarding processes. Coordinate Home Office new hire activities such as background checks, desk setup, and welcome programs. Respond to employment verification requests and submit weekly payroll data. Administer fringe benefit programs, maintain organizational charts, and manage company communication lists and notices. Assist with training initiatives, create reports, and handle HRIS password resets. Perform miscellaneous clerical duties, order supplies, and cross-train in various HR functions as assigned. Work full-time, 40 hours weekly with occasional off-hours availability for deadlines and events. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Associate's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field – or equivalent relevant work experience
- 3+ years of experience in an HR support or service-oriented role in a high-growth or fast-paced environment
- Exceptional professionalism (communications, interactions, etc.)
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally (both verbally and written) and at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional internal customer service and building positive working relationships with employees, managers, and business partners
- Ability to prioritize work and adjust priorities as needed
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with strong organization and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining data integrity
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
- Intermediate skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Ability to read, write and speak English at a proficient level
- Can work at least a full-time, 40-hour a week schedule, sometimes off-hours as the business requires (i.e., deadlines, networking events, conferences, business dinners, etc.)
- Can sit for long periods of time at a computer in a primarily sedentary position; manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. to waist-height on an occasional basis
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements is a plus
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) is a plus
- Experience with HRIS platforms, Paylocity strongly preferred
