Job Summary
Coordinate hiring and onboarding activities for the site, including scheduling interviews, pre-employment screenings, and new hire orientation. Maintain HR systems and employee files, process payroll in ADP for hourly and exempt employees, and administer the full onboarding and offboarding lifecycle. Provide first-level support for benefits, leaves of absence, and policy questions while serving as a visible HR presence on the manufacturing floor. Assist with HR reporting, audits, and month-end metrics to ensure data accuracy and compliance with California wage and hour requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of HR Admin support related to benefits, leaves of absence, and HR policy administration
- 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience with experience in hourly, non-exempt in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of California payroll laws and wage & hour requirements, including overtime, meal and rest periods, and timekeeping compliance
- Experience supporting hiring coordination and onboarding in a manufacturing or operations environment
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems such as Workday and ADP
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees at all levels
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments (medical device, life sciences, or similar)
- Experience working with high-volume hourly populations and shift-based work schedules
- Bilingual capabilities aligned with site needs (e.g., English/Spanish)
