Job Summary
Be the first point of contact for HR enquiries, providing excellent customer service and sign-posting on policies, procedures, benefits, and employee rewards. Manage the employee lifecycle by drafting contracts, processing changes, updating records, and issuing ID access cards. Support recruitment onboarding, payroll setup, and compliance monitoring for right-to-work and criminal record checks. Coordinate meetings, take minutes, plan events, and maintain accurate HR system data while producing regular compliance reports. Cover the main reception on a rota basis. Based full-time in Trowbridge.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a busy administrative role
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, Grade 4/C or above
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to write formal emails and letters
- Proven ability to organise a complex workload- prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlines
- Methodical and detail conscious to ensure accuracy of all work
- Self-motivated, able to use initiative and make informed decisions
- Resilient, patience and persistent
- Ethos of continuous improvement with the business needs at heart
- Friendly, positive and professional with a genuine desire to help others
- Handle confidential / sensitive information safely and professionally
- Based in our Trowbridge head office full time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of using an HR / payroll system
- Experience of supporting more than one team or manager
- Experience of working in a HR team
- Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint including pivot tables and formulas
- CIPD qualification – First level
