Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer roles focus on designing, building, implementing and supporting an Azure-based ecosystem for enterprise-wide analysis of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Key responsibilities include moving data between clusters, managing production support to meet service levels, designing Master Data Management solutions, collaborating with business analysts and customers in Agile environments, leading design, deployment, and maintenance of software systems, mentoring other developers, and bringing new data sources into GCP/HDFS for transformation and loading into databases. The role requires self-starters with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed team setting, with emphasis on delivering technically robust solutions within architectural and technology constraints. Skills highlighted include Azure services, Python development, ETL, SQL/Postgres, and healthcare/supply chain domain experience, with a preference for HL7 integration experience.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of Data Engineering experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
- Development skills with Python
- Experience with ETL processes or Analytics/Reporting applications
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Strong development experience with Microsoft SQL or Postgres, including advanced features
- Experience with HL7 or other healthcare integration a plus
- Supply chain or healthcare industry experience a plus
