HPC/AI Technical Solution Engineer

Job Summary
Design optimized HPC and cloud architectures for customers by understanding their workload requirements and bridging technical solutions with business objectives. Lead Proof-of-Concepts to validate technical and commercial value while assisting Sales teams during pre-sales activities and drafting detailed proposals. Conduct hands-on workshops showcasing Cloud Infrastructure capabilities and perform performance benchmarking to ensure optimal workload efficiency. Serve as the primary technical contact for all HPC-related topics, providing best-practice guidance for compute, GPU, storage, and networking optimization. Act as the voice of the customer to gather actionable feedback that influences product roadmap development and closes technical gaps. This role involves some travel for customer workshops and conferences and is based in the Houston office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or other computationally intensive scientific domain such as Geophysics or Physics
- 5+ years of experience in HPC, AI/cloud infrastructure, solution engineering, technical consulting, in a comparable customer/stakeholder-facing technical engineering role
- Hands-on experience in: Design, setup, and deployment of Linux-based HPC and AI architecture on-premise and/or cloud infrastructure
- A broad range of HPC and AI applications or frameworks (open-source and ISV), including industry-standard performance benchmarks
- Working knowledge of: GPU applications
- TCP/IP fundamentals, RDMA, InfiniBand, cluster networking, and MPI job execution
- Distributed/parallel file systems and storage fundamentals
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work directly with customers, partners, or internal stakeholders to gather requirements and guide solution adoption
- Must be based in our Houston office
