Job Summary
Provide advanced customer support for DoD HPC systems in a fully remote environment. Install and verify user-requested software applications, manage build environments, libraries, containers, and related models/data, and assist users in compiling, debugging, and running custom-developed codes across various nodes. Identify software within the portfolio to meet research needs, collaborate with SMEs to resolve issues, and develop SOPs/Conops for ticket routing between Tier 2B, Tier 3, System Administrators, and external vendors. Require active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship; roles emphasize high-performance computing expertise, strong communication, and coordination with multiple teams while working remotely.
Required Qualifications
- Active in-scope Secret clearance prior to start
- US Citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, or Masters and 6 years, or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) with users and office staff
- Experience with HPC resource managers (e.g., Slurm, PBS Pro) and MPI
- Experience with application installation or optimization on HPC systems
- Experience building software via CMAKE or Spack
