Job Summary
The Wellness Coordinator role combines clinical nursing with community health outreach to engage Houston-region members, educate them on health plan benefits, and deliver wellness education to individuals and groups. Responsibilities include tracking activity and preparing regular reports for the program and account team, coordinating onsite and community wellness events, and traveling regionally within the Houston area to serve members and support events. Must collaborate with the account team while maintaining member confidentiality (HIPAA). Bilingual English/Spanish abilities are required; a Texas RN license and valid driver license are also necessary. Knowledge in maternal health, school or population health, and experience with health plans or care coordination are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse license
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation for regional travel
- Background in community or public health nursing
- Minimum of five years of relevant nursing experience in community health, clinic, wellness, or school health
- Strong communication, education, and reporting skills
