Job Summary
Lead, coach, and grow the performance of your team while driving workforce planning and overseeing referral intake, caseload allocation, and service coordination. Build strong connections with MSD, Te Whatu Ora, Kāinga Ora, health, and community partners, championing tikanga, whanaungatanga, and manaakitanga in all interactions. Manage funded service delivery, reporting, and contract obligations within a large team at the intersection of homelessness, mental health, addiction, and trauma. This fixed-term role runs to 30 June 2028 with a full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership ideally in a frontline social services, housing, health or kaupapa Māori team
- A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent senior practice leadership experience
- Strong understanding of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga and kaupapa Māori practice
- Experience managing funded service delivery, reporting and contract obligations
- A current full NZ Driver Licence
Desired Qualifications
- Current professional registration relevant to social work, counselling, mental health, addiction or psychology
- Connection to Ngāti Whakaue
