Job Summary
Establish rapport with clients experiencing homelessness and develop housing stabilization plans. Provide direct skill teaching, advocacy, and assistance for obtaining benefits, budgeting, treatment, and employment. Complete applications for housing subsidies, Social Security, and state entitlements while linking clients to mental health and substance abuse counseling. Conduct weekly in-home visits, manage security deposits, and advocate with landlords for tenant rights. Liaise with homeless service providers, courts, and DCF to ensure access to program resources and maintain documentation in compliance with agency standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years' experience working with homeless population or families dependent on specific position
- Valid driver's license
