Job Summary
Establish linkages and maintain working relationships with supportive housing providers, real estate brokers, managing agents, and landlords as a resource for consumers. Provide supportive social services including individual and group counseling, workshops, education, referrals, and escorting to prepare consumers for securing and maintaining permanent housing. Prepare and assist consumers with the housing application and interview process. This role supports the men's shelter program located at Blake Avenue in Brooklyn, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years in human services field
- knowledge of trauma
- Good interpersonal skill set
- ability to work independently
- ability to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Solid computer skills
- working knowledge of Microsoft
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human Services or related field
- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking
