Job Summary
Housing Specialist provides housing navigation and support to adults with serious and persistent mental illness, conducting housing assessments, coordinating subsidy applications, assisting with housing options, outreach to landlords and property managers, arranging apartment viewings and interviews, ensuring lease obligations are met, budgeting guidance, and maintaining housing stability through collaboration with clinical teams and community partners. The role involves documenting services, ensuring confidentiality, and promoting access to affordable housing options; strong interpersonal, advocacy, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in human services, housing, or case management
- Valid driver’s license required
- Knowledge of housing subsidy programs preferred
