Job Summary
Housing Specialist role responsible for managing a caseload of clients experiencing homelessness, meeting with clients regularly, ensuring clinical files and reports are complete, securing entitlements, coordinating moves with landlords and agencies, and serving as a liaison with DHS and other providers. Responsible for housing retention services, tracking housing placement trends, and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings. Requires client-centered service delivery, strong writing and communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, CPR certification (or willingness to obtain), and preferred Bachelor's degree. Schedule includes full-time hours across multiple shifts in Queens, NY, with no remote work indicated. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- experience with homelessness and entitlements
- ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel)
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain CPR
