Job Summary
Conduct Housing Needs Assessments and Crisis Assessments, then facilitate education groups on housing, employment, and income resources. Research and access new housing opportunities while maintaining accurate participant files for a caseload of 50 or more individuals. Perform onsite and field-based service coordination, including drop-ins and phone line support, to assist clients with move-in assistance and linkage to community benefits. Design and lead workshops, represent Abode as a brand ambassador to external stakeholders, and collaborate with agencies to support participants. Requires weekend and evening availability, a personal vehicle, and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Sociology, or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience working with people facing homelessness, substance abuse issues and individuals in the criminal justice system
- Use of personal vehicle
- Proof of valid California Driver's License
- Current auto insurance
- Clean DMV record
- Ability to drive and transport participants when required
- Weekend and evening availability
