Job Summary

Provide exceptional service to callers, clients, and visitors at Housing Centers while educating them on programs and available community resources. Conduct assessments and make referrals or appointments as necessary, assisting clients with tools for housing problem-solving and planning. Maintain detailed logs of visitors and callers by entering real-time data into internal systems, ensuring timely responses to inquiries from government offices and legal services. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, organize program materials, and update information in all required databases and software applications. Collaborate with internal staff, landlords, and community groups to plan workshops for tenants and landlords, while performing general clerical duties such as scanning, filing, and preparing reports. Proactively identify and inform program managers of any issues affecting the department or organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years' experience in office reception, at a call center, or in a related role; a combination of experience and a high school diploma (or equivalent) may be a substitute
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office, and comfort learning new technologies
  • Ability to organize and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and networking skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Preference for experience in human or community services
  • Knowledge of community resources is a plus
