Job Summary
Planate Management Group seeks an experienced Construction Manager to support the Great Sand Dunes National Park housing project. The CM will read, interpret, and apply the Construction Contract, Plans, and Specifications; communicate effectively with project stakeholders; perform duties on housing/residential construction and tenant relocation projects; demonstrate knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and safety regulations; facilitate pre-construction, in-progress, post-construction inspections, and mock-up reviews; review cost estimates and evaluate proposals; identify scope changes related to NPS or site conditions; utilize PCs/mobile devices to perform daily tasks (Procore, Microsoft Teams) and conduct meetings; create and manage files in Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, MS Project, and other CM software; and work with Federal PMs/CORs on changes, RFIs, submittals, and field reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction management or a directly related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction or construction management, including at least 10 years on residential or commercial construction projects of similar scope and magnitude
- Must have experience with housing/residential construction and tenant relocation
- Completion of OSHA 30-hour construction safety training
- Knowledge of construction practices, applicable building codes, and safety regulations, with ability to facilitate, understand, and document pre-inspections, inspections during construction, post-inspections, and inspect mock-ups
- Proficient with Procore, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, MS Project, and other construction management software
- Experience working with Federal Government Project Managers/CORs, including processing change requests, RFIs, submittals, and field observation reports
