Housing Researcher - Part-Time

Job Summary

Lead and conduct housing research to identify, analyze, and address housing issues across Iowa by designing, managing, and collaborating on complex multidisciplinary projects. Secure external funding through grants and partnerships, then translate findings into practical tools and recommendations for stakeholders. Serve as a subject-matter expert representing initiatives with university, community, and government partners while developing education programs and co-creating reports and dashboards. Measure program impacts and communicate outcomes through success stories, building networks to advance statewide housing initiatives. Provide technical assistance and expertise to communities, participating on interdisciplinary teams to address complex challenges. This two-year fixed term position requires 24 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of related experience
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position

Desired Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Community and Regional Planning, Public Policy, Housing Studies, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated experience conducting housing-related research and data analysis
  • Demonstrated experience translating research findings into actionable insights for stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
