Job Summary
Housing Rehabilitation Technician II responsible for inspecting dwellings, developing work write-ups, environmental reviews, and coordinating with contractors to ensure rehabilitation work meets quality and code standards. Duties include calculating rehabilitation cost estimates, reviewing bids, monitoring progress, preparing inspection reports, and communicating with applicants about repairs and warranties. Role supports grant-funded Priority Repair Program activities for low-income homeowners and utilizes computers/tablets in office and field settings. Requires an Associate’s Degree and two years of relevant experience, plus a Valid Texas Driver’s License. Working primarily in Fort Worth with the Neighborhood Services Department; adds value through customer service and knowledge of residential construction and energy efficiency practices.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree from accredited college or university in business admiration, account, social services or related fields
- Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in housing programs, code enforcement or other closely related fields
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
