Job Summary
Provide direct care in a team environment to assist homeless persons in obtaining their goal of self-sufficiency. Facilitate day-to-day housekeeping, attendance of pillar programs, maintain rules and regulations for residents, conduct informative residential meetings, and act as liaison between caseworkers, counselors, and executive staff. Emphasizes safety, crisis intervention, communication, empathy, de-escalation, data recording, mail management, and coordination with donors/volunteers. Requires flexibility for shifts and physical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- some college coursework in social work, psychology, or related field preferred
- Experience working in a non-profit or multi-cultural environment preferred
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to work shifts including day, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays
