The Housing Program Eligibility & Compliance Specialist will support affordable housing and homebuyer assistance programs by reviewing applications, analyzing borrower documentation, and ensuring compliance with program guidelines. This role is ideal for mortgage professionals with a strong background in loan processing and underwriting.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in mortgage processing, underwriting, or similar mortgage operations roles.
- Strong understanding of loan documentation, credit analysis, income calculation basics, and guideline interpretation.
- Experience working with lenders, loan officers, processors, or underwriters.
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret program policies and apply them consistently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and document management systems.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with housing agencies, housing finance programs, affordable housing initiatives, or public-sector organizations.
- Familiarity with FHA, VA, USDA, or conventional lending guidelines.
