Job Summary
Conduct outreach efforts to identify and connect with homeless individuals requiring assistance, adding them to the BNPL through the communities coordinated access initiative. Meet with potential clients to assess housing needs, determine appropriate responses, and provide resources for problem-solving. Perform housing searches, build inventory lists, and liaise with property managers and landlords to secure vacant units. Assertively engage with clients to secure rentals, manage deposits, arrange utilities, and finalize leases. Ensure warm transfers to Housing First or other support teams and document all activities. Provide support to the ECH2 and Outreach Coordinator. Requires a valid driver's license and own vehicle. Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Services, or related field
- 2 years' experience in case management
- Knowledge of community programs and services in Windsor Essex County
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
- Use of own vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years' experience in the field of housing and homelessness, mental illness, or drug use
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals
- French language skills
