Job Summary
Assess housing needs and develop discharge plans for participants following incarceration. Connect clients to permanent housing options, complete subsidy paperwork, and advocate with landlords and housing authorities. Survey rental markets, recruit property managers, and maintain a landlord database to support placement efforts. Conduct routine community outreach and events to expand housing access while tracking outcomes for reporting. Coordinate with case managers to align placements with broader reentry plans. Maintain accurate documentation of applications, referrals, and follow-up activities.

- Two (2) years' experience as a Job Developer
- Two (2) years' experience as an Employment Specialist
- High School Diploma
- Ability to defend oneself and clients in physically abusive situations using approved physical de-escalation techniques
- Ability to defend oneself and clients in mentally/verbally abusive situations using approved mental/verbal de-escalation techniques
- Ability to work under stress
- Ability to work in emotionally charged settings
- Ability to collect and analyze complex numerical and written data
- Ability to work and cooperate with clients, co-workers, managers, the public and employees at all levels
- Ability to exchange ideas, information, instructions, and opinions
- Ability to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and at distance
