Job Summary
Housing Navigator for Supportive Services for Veteran Families; focuses on landlord recruitment and retention and provides housing navigation assistance to veterans. Responsibilities include attending homeless/housing meetings, outreach to prospective landlords and property management groups, locating low-income permanent housing, maintaining communication with landlords, educating on leasing to HUD-VASH veterans/SSVF, assisting veterans with document collection and housing searches, coordinating with local housing authorities on inspection standards, and data entry to meet program requirements; supports case management as assigned and travels to perform outreach.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years of case management experience or closely related field experience
- Valid driver's license
- Adept with computer programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite and data information management systems
