Job Summary
Monitoring the activity of shelter residents on an assigned shift to ensure safety and compliance with house rules; maintains records/logs, checks rooms and fire equipment, assists with client intake and medication distribution, monitors security through windows, doors, and cameras, responds to emergencies per procedures, opens/closes doors during operation hours, assigns duties to residents, answers inquiries about shelter operations, conducts drug testing as needed, and performs general cleanliness and administrative tasks within the shelter environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED AND one (1) year experience performing security or social service work preferred
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
