Job Summary
Investigate dwelling units for Housing Code violations, including complaints regarding heat, filth, overcrowding, and structural conditions. Conduct complete inside and out inspections, list violations on printed forms, and take photographs of interior and exterior conditions. Prepare and submit detailed reports on investigations while maintaining essential records and files. Utilize various electronic and/or manual recording systems used by the agency.
Required Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of experience in building inspection, building repair, building maintenance, construction, construction inspection, and/or other work concerned with building structures and/or building repair
- High School Diploma
- valid New Jersey driver's license
