Job Summary
A role within the Housing Department focused on writing compelling proposals, grant applications, letters of inquiry, and reports related to housing supportive services and development. The Housing Grant Manager coordinates RFPs/NOFAs, gathers budget and narrative sections, and maintains calendars for grant submissions. He/she communicates with developers, funders, and partner agencies to review, execute, and manage funding applications; identifies new sources of public funding; liaises with program staff and leadership to ensure materials reflect the agency’s mission; and maintains electronic and hard-copy records. The position involves coordinating contract-related documents, MOUs/Service Agreements/Limited Partnership Agreements, and attending funder meetings as needed. Travel and working in busy environments may occur; role requires strong writing, editing, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to support affordable housing funding aligned with organizational goals. The work is not 100% onsite, with a hybrid work setting described.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
- Knowledge of the affordable housing funding process
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong editing skills
