Housing Focused Shelter Team Lead

Job Summary
Leading Shelter Team operations in Saskatoon: oversee Housing Focused Shelter Workers, guide shift teams, mentor staff and volunteers, manage intake assessments and referrals, maintain case management with a caseload of 7-8 clients, enforce rules and safety procedures, coordinate coverage for staff absences, and maintain clear communications and documentation. Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and person-centered support to guests, build trusted relationships, conduct debriefs and training, and support collaboration with the Shelter Manager and Restoration Committee; ensure a warm, safe, and clean shelter environment and compliance with health and safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma and/or certificate in Human Services, Social Work, or relevant fields is an asset; First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification; MS Office proficiency; experience with Indigenous communities; conflict resolution; excellent communication; ability to supervise and mentor; data collection and record-keeping; ability to assess situations and make decisions; ability to build relationships with vulnerable populations
