Job Summary
Housing Coordinator in a shelter setting responsible for conducting intakes and assessments to determine housing needs and eligibility, assisting clients in finding affordable housing options, negotiating leases and rental agreements, maintaining client records, and collaborating with housing agencies and other social-service organizations. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; role requires Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm in Brooklyn, NY. Responsibilities include maintaining records, providing regular reports to management and funding agencies, and ensuring move-in procedures and housing-related paperwork are completed. Prior experience in shelters and the ability to build relationships with landlords and property managers are essential.
