Job Summary
Housing Advocate (Part Time, Afternoon) supports shelter clients toward permanent housing using compassionate care, conducts intake and orientation for new clients, de-escalates crises, monitors medications per policy, documents in HMIS, and coordinates referrals to community services. Responsibilities include assisting in education and coaching for housing stability, maintaining safety and cleanliness, tracking census and bed inventory, and reporting to supervisors. Requires strong communication, teamwork, and a compassionate, professional approach; basic tech skills (Microsoft Office) and ability to work in a homeless shelter setting. High School Diploma or GED required. Reliable transportation preferred.
