Job Summary
Assist Front Desk and Housekeeping with guest services while operating the company van to transport guests. Clean hallways, restrooms, meeting rooms, and public areas; stock linen closets and retrieve soiled linens. Deliver special items such as cribs and appliances, move furniture, and set up or tear down meeting rooms. Report all maintenance, damage, vandalism, and unsafe conditions immediately. Communicate guest requests and problems to the supervisor. Maintain punctuality and adapt to schedule changes or short-notice shift coverage. Possess a valid driver's license and pass a criminal background check.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must have the ability to be approved by Mereté's insurance company as an insurable driver
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must pass criminal background check
- Physically able to perform cleaning duties
- Lift and carry average weight of 30lbs frequently, maximum weight frequently 50lbs
- Standing/walking up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet
- Reaching/overhead extension to pull items down
- Pushing and pulling average weight frequently 50lbs, maximum weight 150lbs
- Repetitive motions of bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting
- Entering and exiting from shuttle vehicle
- Sitting in padded seat when driving
- Working with and exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise
- Must adhere to the Hotel's safety standards and procedures
- Must possess hearing protection for equipment operation
- Must possess eye protection for equipment operation
- Must possess hand protection for equipment operation
- Effectively manage time
- Ability to communicate with guests as well as team members
- Ability to adjust schedule changes and cover shifts on short notice
- Able to work a variety of hours/shifts
- Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation
- Follow all safety procedures
- Meets or exceeds productivity standards set by Manager
