Job Summary
Stock linen closets and deliver supplies to room attendants while emptying soiled carts and trash. Strip and service assigned guest rooms by priority, replacing dirty linens with clean par and restocking items per SOP. Monitor cleanliness of floors, hallways, public areas, and stairwells, using correct chemicals per OSHA regulations. Clean ice machines, windows, and remove debris from furniture and fixtures. Move and arrange furniture as requested, completing deep cleaning and floor waxing projects. Transport carts securely and return them at shift end, turning over lost and found items to the Supervisor. Follow 4 Keys service standards and safety procedures while prioritizing tasks with limited supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 months housekeeping or relevant experience
- Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently
- Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Must possess excellent communication, follow up, and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to push, pull bend, squat and lift on a regular basis up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to bend and twist, push, and pull, stoop, and kneel
- Ascend and descend a ladder
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up
- Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment
- Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
- Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
