Job Summary
Maintain public areas, grounds, and parking lot cleanliness while delivering guest service, including assisting with baggage and responding to requests for supplies. Perform minor maintenance troubleshooting on hotel equipment and support room attendants to ensure brand standards are met. Handle emergency procedures and report hazardous conditions immediately. Work independently with the ability to multitask, often standing or walking for long periods, including nights, weekends, and outdoor conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Honesty and trustworthiness
- Security clearances
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proper handling of linens, terry and other supplies, keeping sanitation and cost controls in mind
- Handling various safety and security measures
- Knowledge of all guidelines from training checklist of areas to be maintained
- Knowledge of procedures for emergencies (Person in Charge)
- Ability to work alone, without direct supervision
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to multi task, remain service centric
- Ability to communicate professionally with guests and co-workers
- Physical presence at the hotel
- Ability to stand, walk for long periods of time while maintaining a friendly professional image
- Ability to spend long periods of time outdoors in heat/cold
- Ability to work any day/shift, including nights and weekends
- Ability to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted
- Ability to lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted
- Ability to stand for up to eight hours
- Ability to bend, stretch, reach, climb, kneel
- Ability to see and hear
- Ability to communicate with other associates and/or guests
- Basic maintenance repairs, leaking faucet, running toilet, etc.
- Ability to clean guest rooms to brand standards
- Ability to maintain guest privacy
- Ability to follow procedures in the company systematic fashion
- Ability to respond to guest requests, such as delivering supplies: shampoo, towels, roll away beds etc.
- Ability to perform minor trouble shooting and maintenance of hotel equipment
- Ability to set up meeting rooms if applicable
- Ability to adhere to general clean guidelines for the public areas of the property
- Ability to maintain a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
- Ability to assist guests with baggage, in and out of vehicle or guest room
- Ability to deliver supplies in a timely and hospitable manner
