Job Summary
Perform daily routine cleaning in guest areas, villas, and corridors at The Hotel Hershey, including scrubbing floors, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning elevators and restrooms. Stock closets with linens and amenities, deliver special guest items like cots and cribs, and make minor repairs or move furniture as needed. Operate standard cleaning equipment such as carpet shampoo machines and floor scrubbers while safely using chemicals and handling up to 50 lbs. Unload delivery trucks and transport items around the property. This full-time union position requires evening and weekend hours based on seniority, with a schedule determined by union rules.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Successful completion and passing of the post-offer employment physical exam
- Professional guest service attitude
- Well-groomed appearance

- Capable of working alone
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Ability to understand and communicate instructions, both written and verbal
- Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment; carpet shampoo machine, floor scrubber, vacuum cleaner, high-pressure power washer, etc.
- Visual ability to meet very high cleaning standards
- Ability to safely use chemicals in and around the workplace meeting OSHA standards
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
- Ability to operate a vehicle to transport trash to designated areas on property
- Ability to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours
