Houseperson

Houseperson role supporting room attendants by stocking supplies and cleaning guest rooms. Responsibilities include moving furniture to assist deep cleaning, cleaning areas such as edging carpets and washing inside windows, checking drapes and bathroom floors, inspecting with a black-light, rotating mattresses quarterly, running the daily room status report, charting daily activities, stocking linen and chemical caddies, inspecting linen closets for excess supplies, collecting and washing glassware in the stewarding dishwasher and returning items to linen closets, and adhering to hospitality standards. May assist in other areas (lobby, supply, runner) as needed and participate in varying schedules to meet hotel business needs. Interacts with guests to provide hotel information and directions and reports safety concerns to management. Regular attendance and flexibility related to hotel operations are essential.
