Job Summary
Stock linen closets with amenities and deliver supplies directly to room attendants. Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash, then transport carts with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to assigned guest rooms and attendants securely. Strip and service assigned guest rooms by category and priority, removing dirty terry and linen to replace with clean par. Monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned work areas, including guestroom floors, hallways, public areas, stairwells, and foyers. Clean ice machines, windows, and remove all trash, dust, and debris from furniture and fixtures. Complete reoccurring projects like deep cleaning and floor polishing, refurnish rooms with supplies as required, and turn over lost and found items to the Supervisor. Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments while following 4 Keys service standards and safety procedures. Minimum 3 months housekeeping experience required; flexible shifts and long hours sometimes required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 months housekeeping or relevant experience
- Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently
- Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Must possess excellent communication, follow up, and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to push, pull bend, squat and lift on a regular basis up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up
- Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment
- Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
- Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
- Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs
- Adhere to attendance and reliability standards
- Must be able to use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
