Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a full-time, two-person, married-couple role living on-campus in student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from nine-on/three-off duty to a stable placed-home assignment. The role emphasizes a family-like, structured environment, caregiving, youth development, and active engagement in students’ academic, emotional, and social growth. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA, with on-site housing, comprehensive benefits, and relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
