Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-time Flex Houseparents) are a two-person, married-couple role living on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. The position involves supervising 8–13 students in a residential home, providing mentorship, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a Flex to a Placed Houseparent role. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. Total compensation per couple is approximately $168,000 including housing and benefits. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to drive student vans, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; includes relocation assistance and paid training. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications

- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
