Job Summary
Two-person, live-in Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School provide supervision, mentorship, and daily care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to live on campus as a married couple for at least two years. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement options, PTO, and housing coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
