Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes; responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and reporting. The role begins as nine days on, three off, then transitions to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students in their home. Salary is about $44,768 per person plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance; includes free housing and meals while on duty. Requires two-person, married-couple eligibility, on-campus residence, and full participation in employment applications by both spouses.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Experience with youth preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
