Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School, in a two-person married couple role, to supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students in a student home. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent in a consistent student home. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with relocation to Hershey area and comprehensive benefits plus relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Two-person role for couples
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
