Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for 8–13 students while managing household routines, schedules, medications, and wellness. Drive students to activities and lead devotions, including accompanying them to Sunday Chapel. Oversee budgeting and household reporting while planning developmental and recreational engagements. Serve on a nine-day-on, three-day-off rotation, transitioning eventually to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. Both spouses must be married for at least two years, age 27 or older, and hold a valid driver's license to operate student home vans.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
