Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside on campus in student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students, manage routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in development and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. The role includes relocation to Hershey, PA, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training; requires being a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses age 27+, and a high school diploma or GED. If hired, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
